Sue Pullon
Sue Pullon MBChB, DipObs, FRNZCGP, PGDipGP, MPHC
Sue is a general practitioner and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Primary Health Care and General Practice, University of Otago Wellington.
As well having a lifelong interest in health education and health promotion, Sue has always been passionate about enhancing high quality education for health professionals and enjoys teaching in many different settings. Sue currently convenes the undergraduate general practice teaching for trainee interns, and also co-ordinates the Primary care Postgraduate programme, a fully interprofessional postgraduate education initiative, where nurses, doctors and other primary care health professionals learn successfully together. She is a member of the Board of Education for the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners.
Sue has research interests in women’s health, health promotion, interprofessional teaching, learning and teamwork for health professionals, and more recently has become involved in researching workforce development issues. She is also author of the New Zealand Pregnancy Book. This book for women and their families has been in print since 1991; an extensively revised third edition is currently in production.
