Margaret Horsburgh
Dr Margaret Horsburgh is Associate Professor of Nursing at the
University of Auckland. She is based in the School of Population
Health, working closely with primary care initiatives and the
Department of General Practice and Primary Health Care. Margaret
has an extensive background in health professional education and in
policy and governance roles in the health and disability sector. She
has had key roles with the National Health Committee, Auckland District
Health Board and Ministry of Health Committees and is currently the
Chair of the New Prescribers Advisory Committee and on the board of a
Primary Health Organisation. Her qualifications include a Doctorate in
Education and Master of Arts (with first class honours in education)
alongside nursing and midwifery qualifications.
